Tribute to the memory of Koichi KOSAKA

Profile

Koichi KOSAKA
Born in 1949 in Kiso Hirasawa, Nagano Prefecture
Traditional arts and craftsman. He made the NEGORO lacquer coating restore and also created a work using the thechnique on which a mother of pearl RADEN is stuck.
He has continued to create unique and original works, doing everything in his workshop from wood processing to finishing the lacquered. He has been spending his days to put his hands together in the morning and giving thanks in the evening, to make arts and crafts as he always does. His works, born from his desire to "be an ordinary day," have a large number of fans.
He was supposed to show us many more his works in the future. Unfortunately he passed away in 2021.
With the permission of his widow, who was always by his side at his exhibition, we will sell his works specially on this site. Normally, you would pick it up, but we will show that with photos and explanations. We hope it gets to you. Please have a look.
